umm...for summer i like either bright, neon, tropical, or nautical-ish colors. like right now i'm wearing shiny-ish light sea blue color. its really pretty! or some shade of pink, lots of people do it, but its still fun and classic. or bright neon orange, red, or yellow. or a pretty blue. and for fall warmish colors are pretty, like deep red, or deep but not very bright, orange. or peach, even for summer too. and sometimes for summer black is ok. for fall maybe a pretty green too! or an orangish yellow is pretty!! The only way for any woman to choose the right nail color for her, is to try it on. Every race comes in many shades and tones and what looks good on one woman may not look good on another. Also some women are bold and love bright colors and some are demure and go for less glitzy nails. I myself am wishy washy depending on wether it is date night, etc.

I would have to say purple or red. Although i am not african-american my self, i am in close relationship with many. You want a color that will contrast with your skin, but not too much. We'll be waitin to whistle - Not literally as that is redneck crass - but you do get the point I hope.

Use 100% acetone with a cotton ball to remove your polish. Then wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water so the acetone doesn't dry out your fingers and nails too much. When you first remove dark polish your nails may be a bit discolored (when you remove dark red or black polishes your nails may look a little red stained). This is normal. You will just have to wait it out. You can apply clear polish if you have brittle nails, but its best to leave them clean for a couple of days to regain your natural nail color.
i did the same and the only way i could get it off was to put another nail varnish on top and quickly rub it off before it set.
the wet varnish stuck to the dark one and rubbed off to...
{remember next time to apply a base coat ~ it protects yur nails from being dyed}

It is totally the winter just by looking at this increadibly rich colour, it is unbeatable.
The thing with ESSIE is that you have to apply three coats, so it looks really visible, other than this everything else is perfect.

When in doubt, always go with a french manicure, it has white on the tips and then it's clear or a light pink color on the rest of your nail, it's classy and requires minimal upkeep to make it look good for awhile.

I think the best thing is a french manicure. But if you don't want to have a french manicure all summer here is what I do:
I paint my nails with french manicure polish. Then I take a thin acrylic overlay to protect it. Then if you choose to wear a different color that matches your outfit all you have to do is apply two coats over the french manicure to change the color.
Then if you want to go back to the french manicure all you have to do is use NON-ACETONE nail polish to take of the polish and then you will have your french manicure back.
This is so convenient because french manicure goes with anything and if you don't have time to polish your nails you can still have a great look for summer.
All of my nail clients love this! Give it a try!

it depends on what you're wearing and if you have a lot of school spirit or not. i'd wear something that compliments my skin tone, my outfit...and hopefully that would fit into or compliment the school colors as well
