Duh! It's the 80s. No way you should stick with just one color. Also, if you could add stripes or polka dots to several nails, that would be the ultimate!
Anything fluorescent or neon. Don't foeget the aquanet for your hair.
I was a child of the 80's and what i remember is all the blue nail polish. I'd go with that color

i think that you should use light green.
Fluorescent pink or green will be perfect .

I was thinking of like a navy, brownish red or mauve. I really have know clue what to get. I wear a lot of blues and greens and some pink.

When in doubt, always go with a french manicure, it has white on the tips and then it's clear or a light pink color on the rest of your nail, it's classy and requires minimal upkeep to make it look good for awhile.
If that's not your thing, just about any earthy tone would look good, go for something with a little shimmer to make your accessories stand out. Good luck! Your outfit sounds gorgeous.
i would go for a orange'y brown it will match the brown from your dress and make your hands and feet look beautiful also it will make your skin look a little more tanned :)
red! u can hardly ever go wrong with red nail polish unless it clashes with your outfit (obvious) and in this situation, it does NOT clash at all! go with a nice bright cherry red! it would work good!

I would like a dark green nail polish. I was told it might come around the holiday but I haven't seen it. I don't want like a teal or anything I want real green. What nail polish color should i use on the first day of school?
I think the best thing is a french manicure. But if you don't want to have a french manicure all summer here is what I do:
I paint my nails with french manicure polish. Then I take a thin acrylic overlay to protect it. Then if you choose to wear a different color that matches your outfit all you have to do is apply two coats over the french manicure to change the color.
Then if you want to go back to the french manicure all you have to do is use NON-ACETONE nail polish to take of the polish and then you will have your french manicure back.
This is so convenient because french manicure goes with anything and if you don't have time to polish your nails you can still have a great look for summer.
All of my nail clients love this! Give it a try!

YESS! Pick a color that matches your outfit. Paint your whole nail with it, then pick another color that is the opposite on the color wheel (example: blue/orange, red/green, purple/yellow)
Then use that color and paint a horizontal stripe running down the middle of the finger! It looks good! =) Then, apply two coats of clear polish, the strengthening, sealing kind. That way it will last longer!
it depends on what you're wearing and if you have a lot of school spirit or not. i'd wear something that compliments my skin tone, my outfit...and hopefully that would fit into or compliment the school colors as well

if you really want to stand out... a nice bright blood red! or a less standoutish... brown bace with yellow polka dots.
i like clear cuz it wont show i don't really like make up and stuff ^_^';
